This place was so good we went twice while spending the weekend in Wilmington for the Feast festival. We were staying at the houseboats and this place was walking distance from our houseboat. The have the most amazing pisco sour that I have ever had. They are impossible to find around us. The ceviche was super fresh and my husband loved his steak. We will definitely return when in wilmington

First visit last night, and I will be back. The bright colorful atmosphere is an absolute vibe in itself. Drinks and presentation were incredible and the guacamole was quite possibly the best I’ve ever had! My Bonita Bowl- I’m not sure if it was supposed to have a chimichuri sauce on it or if it was marinated, but the chicken was cold and not much flavor. However, the sushi plates were shining stars and nothing short of amazing. Service wasn’t as impressive, but she may have had too many tables to attend to. Would love to try this place again.

What an amazing place! It's a colorful hidden gem at the far end of the riverwalk. When you step in the restaurant, you are greeted, and taken by the beautiful murals and bright colors. The food was incredible. We recognized the variety of Latin dishes, which was a pleasant surprise. The warm churros were authentic, and the presentation in a cart with three different dips was so different and unique. Parking can be a problem, so be prepared to walk. See you again soon!

Surprisingly good food. The mofongo was nice and the churrasco steak was perfectly cooked. Nice decor, the location is perfect. The waitress was super attentive.

We had a great meal at Bonita on Mother’s Day! Large table of 15 and the service was excellent and the meal came out all together and the presentation was very nice! Live music too! Plus a view of Port City Marina and the River!

Wife and I passed by and what caught our attention was the Bonita Latin fusion sign. We were seated immediately. The waitress and hostess were very friendly. The food was just delicious. Highly recommend stopping here if you are ever around the Wilmington area. I definitely will.

What a fun place. Cool decorations and a good vibe all together with a really great menu. It was hard to decide what to get, but eventually landed on the churrasco and the shrimp mofongo. Also had a few of their cocktails which were pretty tasty. The churro cart was a fun dessert, and the churros themselves were really good. Only complaint was that our cart wasn't necessarily clean, there was dried food on the front wheel and the side. Didn't effect the food, but still a little off-putting. Service was good, though a bit slow on a few items. As well as never refilling anybody's water the entire meal. It's not that they denied us a refill, but you could tell the attention to detail wasn't a 10/10 (especially in a bon-busy weeknight). They did have a DJ playing music which was fun, but our waiter had a hard time hearing us all night because of it. Overall, I'd go again, but just with slightly different expectations. Finally, this place is not a cheap night. I think our food and drink was worth the price so no complaints, but you just need to know.

Wow! Love this place. Eight of us dined here a few days ago. They don't take reservations unless you are a party of 8 or more, so there can be a wait. It was a little tight fight where we sat, but we managed. There is also outdoor dining, which is really nice. What a colorful and lively place. It is on the noisy side, so fair warning. My husband had to turn down the volume of his hearing aids. We started with a round of drinks. The waitress brought us chips and fried plantains with a green sauce. It was excellent. For my entrée (which I had such a hard time choosing), I had the enchiladas, which each had a different meat inside (chicken, ropa vieja and birra beef. They had a nice sauce on top along with a Mexican crema and cheese. It also came with rice and a side salad. Very flavorful and filling. My husband had the ropa vieja arepas. Those were fantastic! Our friends enjoyed their selections. Great menu with lots of delicious sounding choices. We ended our meal sharing churros with three different dipping sauces. We were amazed a the number of staff in the restaurant. I can't wait to go back!
